Neon Trees brought the sparkle and sweat to Buckhead Theatre on April 2, proving that after nearly two decades in the game, they have lost none of their shine. The venue was packed with fans spanning generations—some who fell in love with the band back in the Habits era and others who discovered them more recently. From the moment the house lights dropped, a tangible buzz filled the air.

That buzz turned electric when frontman Tyler Glenn strutted on stage, launching the night with a punchy rendition of “Losing My Head.” The band wasted no time shifting gears between eras, diving headfirst into tracks from their latest album Sink Your Teeth, such as the groove-heavy “Acting” and the dreamy, synth-driven “Favorite Daze.” Tyler, dressed in a shimmering jacket and black eyeliner, owned the stage with his theatrical energy. He effortlessly commanded attention with every high kick, hip sway, and belted note. The band was tight, polished, and clearly having fun. Drummer Elaine Bradley's harmonies added texture to the band's glossier new material.

But the crowd really roared when the older hits started rolling in. “1983” sparked instant nostalgia, while “Your Surrender” and “Lessons in Love” had the audience bouncing and belting along word for word. When they finally hit “Everybody Talks,” it was pure chaos—in the best way. Phones went up, voices got louder, and the venue pulsed with that rare kind of joy you only get at a show where every single person is fully locked into the moment.

One of the most unexpected highlights of the night came with a slick cover of The Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me.” It was a bold move—reworking a beloved ‘80s classic—but it paid off. Neon Trees put their own neon-lit spin on it, transforming it into a dance floor anthem while still honoring its synthpop roots. It showed a band not afraid to experiment, and it landed beautifully with the crowd.

The Buckhead Theatre itself added to the magic. Its intimate size made everything feel close and personal—you could see the sweat, the smiles, the little glances the band shared mid-song. The sound was crisp, the lights were dramatic without being overbearing, and the whole vibe felt like a night out with 1,500 of your closest friends.

By the time they wrapped with "Everybody Talks” the room was practically vibrating. It was the kind of set that leaves you grinning for hours afterward. Neon Trees proved they’re not just riding the wave of nostalgia—they’re evolving, pushing, still full of fire. If this tour is any indication, their best days onstage may still be ahead of them.
