Journey brought its Final Frontier Tour to San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center on Saturday night, October 10, for an evening that celebrated more than five decades of music from one of rock’s most recognizable bands.
The band wasted no time digging into its catalog, opening with “Be Good to Yourself” before moving into “Stone in Love,” “Ask the Lonely,” and “Only the Young.” Rather than relying exclusively on radio hits, the lengthy 29-song set reached across Journey’s history, giving longtime fans plenty beyond the usual greatest-hits collection.

Frontman Arnel Pineda handled the familiar material, while guitarist Neal Schon remained a central part of the performance. The evening also featured lead vocal appearances from drummer Deen Castronovo, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, and Jason Derlatka, adding variety to the extensive setlist.

Among the selections were “Lights,” “Escape,” “Who’s Crying Now,” and “Open Arms,” alongside deeper cuts such as “Of a Lifetime,” “Chain Reaction,” and “Dead or Alive.” An extended “Wheel in the Sky” provided additional room for the band’s instrumental side.
The final stretch delivered an impressive concentration of Journey classics. “Faithfully,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’,” and “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” led into “Any Way You Want It,” which closed the evening with confetti.

For a band approaching the end of its touring career, the San Antonio stop was a reminder of just how extensive Journey’s musical legacy has become. The Final Frontier Tour isn’t simply about saying goodbye. It’s an opportunity to revisit the songs that have kept Journey part of rock music for generations.
