NYC metal band Castle Rat have released a music video for “Dragon,” a track from their acclaimed second album “The Bestiary.” The visual continues the band’s fantasy-driven storytelling, tying into their ongoing narrative about defending a fictional realm.
The release accompanies news of the “Summon The Beasts Tour 2026,” a 20-date North American headline run this autumn. The tour kicks off September 23 in Baltimore and wraps October 21 in New York at Webster Hall, with stops including The Belasco in Los Angeles, The Ogden Theatre in Denver, and The Opera House in Toronto. It marks the band’s largest headline outing to date, following a run of sold-out shows, festival dates, and a co-headline stretch with Amon Amarth and Dethklok earlier this year.
“The Bestiary” was produced by Randall Dunn, known for his work with Sunn O))) and Björk, and arrived in late 2025 to strong critical reception. The album followed the band’s 2024 debut, “Into The Realm.”

For the first time, Castle Rat will offer a VIP package on the tour, including a soundcheck performance, meet and greet with signing, exclusive merchandise, early merch access, and a photo opportunity with the band’s onstage antagonist, the Rat Reaperess. VIP passes and other merchandise are now available through the band’s newly launched online store, Castle Market.
